Tony Rice - "Manzanita"
Tony Rice - "Church Street Blues" Solas - "Another Day" Norman Blake - 'Mysterious Music From the Underground South" ( re-named "Natasha's Waltz' in later issues) "Manzanita" and "Another Day" are probably what I would consider the zenith in terms of musicianship, production quality, and quality of content. |

Give Jackson Browne's "Late for the Sky" a listen.
I've been playing it since 1974 and it still amazes me.

Joni Mitchell's "Blue" gets all the credit, but for my money her debut album "Song to a Seagull" is the true masterpiece. I remember when it came out. It was different than everything else, and it remains the moodiest album ever recorded.

I'm not one for singing and lyrics, so I mainly listen to instrumentals. Two that come to mind are:
Bryan Sutton - Not Too Far From The Tree David Grier - I've Got The House To Myself. Serious flatpicking on both of these albums. D

I'm pretty sure if a laser from a CD player could burn a hole in a CD, I'm pretty sure mine would have between 1995 to around 1998/99. I've not listened to it in a long time, so I don't know how it's aged, but I used to absolutely adore this album. I'd love to know how many times I actually listened to this.
