Nice. Shot!

I took our grandson fishing the other day with no luck, but we fed the fish. He did catch a frog!

I love frogs! Get the chorus every Spring. Sitting in my front room one summer with the front and back door open and saw something out of the corner of my eye. A frog entered through the back door and headed out the front door, lol

They eat their share of bugs, too. Heck, more than their share, but I don't begrudge 'em.

Green frogs are apparently attracted to fish ponds in Western Pennsylvania. My sister-in-law's koi pond always sports a few each summer. Most years they even manage to breed and provide the koi with frog egg appetizers and tadpole snacks, but somehow enough of them manage to avoid getting eaten to allow the species to continue in perpetuity.

Default This post reminded me of this

Frogs – Red Skelton
Frogs, a poem by Red Skelton, read by Clem Kadiddlehopper

Frogs. Frogs. Frogs, they are everywhere.
Frogs. Frogs. Frogs croaking fill the air.
Louder. Louder. Louder is their blasting blare
and there’s no silence in the night.

Frogs. Frogs, croaks heard three miles away.
Five. six. seven beyond that they say.
Frogs. Frogs multiplying more each day
and there’s no silence in the night.

Frogs, Frogs don’t try to seek them out.
Frogs. Frogs. Frogs hiding all about.
Grab. Grab. Grab their throats and wring them out.
’cause there’s no silence in the night.

Frogs. Frogs their good is only bad.
Flirting. Flirting. Flirting on their lily pad.
Mom. Mom. Mom says no, but you know Dad.
and there’s no silence in the night.

Frogs. Frogs don’t you know the strain?
Frogs. Frogs. Please, please, please refrain
and listen [croak, croak] there they go again. Frogs. Frogs
and there’s no silence in the night.
[Gun shots]

Me and Jeremiah in my organic swimming pond (converted from conventional swimming pool...no fish). This guy was approx. 12” long when fully extended.
