Default NUGD-1989 Guild GF30

https://www.elderly.com/products/gui...=OrderlyEmails

It’s a gorgeous instrument from the pics and Elderly personnel assured me it’s in great shape. Was refinished and had bridge replaced which gave me a little pause but I spoke online with a Guild collector who said if I was looking for a player this looked like a good deal. These maple arched back Guilds were the guitar among my friends in my youth, although none of us could afford them. I can’t wait to play it.

Happy NGD! That does look like a pretty good deal. I look forward to reading your impressions once you've played it. (Unless you live somewhere that's having winter right now, I really don't think you need to wait, but then it's not my guitar.) FWIW I've bought a couple of used guitars from Elderly (long-distance, sight-unseen), and both were in condition as described or better.

I hope you are delighted with your Guild!

It’s unboxed now. I’m going to wait a while longer to crack the case just a bit and a while after that to fully open it, take the guitar out, tune up and play. In the meanwhile I’m sitting here in my messy man cave/storage space for 24 year old daughter who just moved back home’s stuff playing my 1997 D4. I’ll have a basis for comparison from low to higher end Guild of basically the same era, albeit different body styles and tonewoods.

It’s gorgeous. A few mojo dings. Very chimey but still great midrange. Really well set up. Kudos to Elderly.

Congrats! "Mojo dings", I like that term and it keeps the guitar price down too. Enjoy!
