Default what cool song did you learn today? v2

Stack O'Lee in Drop D. Simple but effective with a nice little solo as a bonus.

I don't so much as learn new ones as "remember" songs I used to do tat I discover when my four ring binder collapses and spills 150 plus songs on the floor.
Today, I reminded myself of "one Little Song" by Gillian Welch.

I may record it tomorrow for you tube, and if so I'll add it here.

well, i thought i knew a good many neil young tunes... but when i look at the how much he wrote in the 70s.. good lord! and his use of all those embellishments. weird open G9ths . what a master class in tasty chords .. so i went all the way back to his first few albums..

today learned Out On the Weekend. and only love can break you heart.. and birds.. or am learning... because even when you think you got it... you really dont.. not like Neil got it!

Sorry,, it's a bit hacky, and it's all electric, new to the acoustic thing.

Does it count if you are having to learn it on the fly, because you just wrote it? In that case, the song is "Dreams, Poems, and the Moon". And yeah, my songwriting partner and I think it's pretty cool, and hopefully, we'll have it down soon! My muse is a trippy, dippy, hippie, and has her own thing going on, so it takes a certain state of mind to translate her thoughts. But we love her. (My friend's muse is a bit more pious, but long-suffering).

I'm learning "By the Time I Get To Phoenix" and Gentle On My Mind" to add to the already learned "The Moon's A Harsh Mistress" so I can perform a short Glen Campbell medley.

Not a song but I did make it into one. I learned the New Orleans baseline/beat from a Mary Flowers YouTube.

“Cross eyed Cat” from Muddy’s “Hard Again.” Coolest song on the planet. But I learned the harmonica part, not the guitar part.
