last thursday, i was flew out to San Francisco and was able to visit the Somogyi Shop where Jason is working. I met him around 4:30pm and didn't end up leaving for my hotel until past 10pm. We did break for dinner so we wouldn't be so famished.

First of all, let me tell you that when I first met Jason on New Years, I was very impressed. Upon my visit this time around, I was even more impressed. As stated before, I feel as though Jason gets me and my music. He is a top notch builder and an incredible person.

We spent a lot of time talking about guitars and the way he approaches building. Here is Jason in one of the rooms as we were talking about guitars:

the shop had many rooms and we did take time to continue talking about his build technique and the things he would to to build the guitar for the tone I am after:

He showed me a bunch of things he was working on including Michael Watts' guitar:

Mike McKee has a build that Jason just finished up and I was there to see the finishing touches on such a wonderful guitar!

How long is "in a bit" ...it's miudnight over here and I can't wait too much longer, I have to be up at 4am!!!
