I would go with the Torres. We have the Marieta tribute to Torres and I've preferred that over the Hauser that we had earlier in stock.

Chris,

The Marieta isn't the same type guitar as the Torres. The Torres is a 640mm scale guitar with smaller upper and lower bouts, but the Hauser is a 650mm scale guitar with larger upper and lower bouts.

Your right, the Marieta is a longer scale, but from my understanding it was modeled after later Torres guitars and the body and bracing mimic those. I could be mistaken.

From the Cordoba site: "Marieta is a tribute to the second epoch of Torres. The sound is bold, clearly pronounced and very responsive to the touch. Available with a solid spruce or cedar top."

I've played the Torres and Hauser models as well. Like them both but prefer the tone of the Torres.

Chris,

So you've had both the Torres and Hauser models in stock in the past? Yes, it took me a while to decide between the two, but I finally decided on the Torres.

Yes, we did have both in stock at one point. We currently do not have any of the Master series in stock and only the one Loriente series guitar.

Simon Ambridge builds Torres and Hauser models but they are three times more expensive than Cordoba .

fast forward to 4:45. Scott Tennant on a Hauser II.

As to a choice between the two "Cordobas"

I would make another choice for either model. Too many levels of profit.

i had it going in the background, and for a second i though scott had ocd, as he wiped off the back of the neck. he has gotten bigger, and has a built in neck up. but he plays well and sounds good.
