Default 1969 Martin D12-35 Brazilian or Indian?

How do you know if your guitar is Brazilian or Indian Rosewood? And I mean, specifically by the serial number.

Martin may be able to tell you by contacting them with the serial number. Otherwise you can generally (almost always) tell by looking at the wood.

According to the Martin Forum FAQ's, #254497 was the last D-28 made with Brazilian Rosewood and the next serial number was the first with EIR. There were many 35 styles made with BRW wedges, outer wings or sides during the transition, but as Steve says, a picture would be a big help.
