I agree Dennis! Folks, order John's Spalted Yard Maple while he still has some!!! Haha

I am with Mike about the sound of the big guitars and the comfort of the small ones. This will do it!

These Round Peaks will part hair at 40 paces if you lay into them.

Cheers

Paul

Man, when John and Paul put their heads together, the result will be pretty cool.

After tax season, I am going to take a ride up to John's pad and check out his yard.

Hey Rob.

you could fly here and check out my 3 or four if you wait for this one. and Steve's one... we can play our way thru my stash.

Of course JK has the finest yard for sure. And his guitars are still improving at an astounding rate. And we know they were fantastic many years ago!!

Party on!

Paul

Robs guitar is at the finisher. Has been for at least 2 weeks now. Ill post pics when it gets back home. Paul you know he has played your mahog round peak and tried to buy it. Since i wouldnt sell him yours, he ordered one for himself. He should have it before you see this maple guitar

Smile Walnut .

Yes Jamie. John found this wonderful almost purple Walnut, and we are aiming for all US woods. (Except the Spanish Cedar linings)

As for Rob, I feel fortunate you did not sell him the Brown Bomb! I saw the pic Mike took of you two with his checkbook out!

Rob, did you go all in and order the CF struts and elevated Fretboard, bevels and port? I did again! Haha

Rock on AGF

Paul, gorgeous guitar....but...as I see it you now will have a BIG problem. Now I'm talking BIG, BIG, BIG here....

The problem is this...with a virtual "harem" of beauties WHICH one of these guitars do you take to your gigs?????

So Paul, will it be a rotation system...one today, another tomorrow, etc. etc.? Or will it be a coin flip each day?? Or will you just close your eyes and grab a case and dance with whichever one you grabbed?? Or will you just take them all each time and give each a little time in your show?? To me, this is like being invited to an all girls dance party and trying to decide which one to dance with .

Let's see....there's:

This big bad boy...J Kinnaird BigModSlopeD12c Cedar/Hog bevels port K&K;
OR JK BigModSlopeD12c BCEuro/HRW bevels, port, K&K; not to forget there's JK 00012c Adi/HRW Port K&K (good ole #99)...

And now JK #4 the AMAZING MAPLE????

Since you have SOOOO many beauties cosmetically, inquiring minds need to know the answer to how you solve this BIG problem?? .

ps: what a NICE problem to have

Smile Fun with the harem...

Mike, your questions are apt!
So far for gigs where I can take two, it has been the custom Round Peaks. And for gigs where I can only take one, the Brown Bomb. Some places I am wandering room to room or just have nowhere secure to stash a second axe.
I have usually been leaving 99 at home as it is not quite as loud. But it is great to have it for back up. All sound amazing amped up tho!
But now with the MAPLE MONSTER incoming it will be tough to pick only two! And with the briefcase of harps and my one trip rule I can only take two.
By the way these RPs fit nice and snug in a full size Taylor gig bag. So one goes on my back.
Guitarists tend to do a double take when I pull a JK out of my Taylor gig bag! Haha. Surprise!
My guess is this new MAPLE MONSTER will be the ONE. And the BROWN BOMB will be #2.
John delivers what I am after even better each time, so I certainly have high hopes!!!
Thanks John

Cheers

Paul

Hey bro, that walnut head plate looks familiar. Did that come from Dad's tree?
