Default Replacing a 0.53 string with a 0.56 to get a deeper bass ?

My Rainsong WS 1100 is wonderfully balanced
but I feel that the low E is a bit "weak"
and has slightly less volume compared to the low A. I changed strings, checked the nut, the saddle, the pins... everything looks OK.
Do you think that replacing the 0.53 string with a medium one (0.56) could help ?
Has anyone tried it before ? ( I mean: to have five "light" strings and a medium low one ) ?

Thank you for your advice,

Gerardo1000

yeah that will be fine. It shouldnt hurt it at all. It "should" give you more bass though. You said that you tried new strings, but did you try a doifferent brand or type of strings. That could do it also.
Hope this helps, and keep us informed

I suggest a Bone Saddle , that will add quite a bit bottom end to a guitar. Works for my Taylors, and I think it would work fine on a rainsong too. Just a thought!

yo Tim, this may come as a shock but you might want to try a smaller bass string for deeper bass. Larger is the logical choice and you might even say the obvious choice but strings will fool you . I once had a tele I wanted a mor Nashville sound with deep bass twang and I went down a step tuned down a half step and wallah was there Turned up tuned donw and twanged the night away. Then again...................................

doncha just hate that. LOL
