Little Red Rooster is an iconic twelve bar blues song most famously done by Sam Cooke. But if you search it for a video you come up with the Doors and the Stones doing it. I guess if they can play the blues it is fair game. Anyway, Keith Richards thinks he should go down on the list of great blues players of all time, just ask him.

I never knew Cooke recorded it. I’m most familiar with Howlin’ Wolf’s version.

I think of that scene often! I thought I was the only one.

Absolutely brilliant scene in a great movie. I like how it takes it's time...the shots of Enid disgusted by the bar's other patrons are just perfect.

I of course, posted it for it's humor element, but I think with the blues, the important thing is to be authentic...to yourself. If you wear it like a "musical costume," people will see through it.

Those two young women have the right to do any thing they want, any time they want to. They're not the best songwriters YET, but if they ever get that part down, they're gonna make us forget everyone else. What great musicians - what feel!
