1969 Yamaha G50A
Nothing too exciting, but I got one of these for free last night (along w/a 1977 Goya GS80 Les Paul Custom Copy - the Goya w/amp was $50, they threw in the G50A for free!). The G50A was strung w/steel strings - but it didnt' compromise the neck angle or action. They've been removed - I'll be restringing a/D'Addario Pro-Arte's this evening. The guitar is one the rough side of the matrix, but not a disaster. I know it'll sound good w/the new strings.
Somedays, you get lucky! I don't have a nylon string guitar. I wanted one. Now I have one! And for free!!

Well, that's great... pretty nice night! Hope you enjoy. Post some pics so we can see.
A couple years ago, I got back my first guitar after losing track of it for decades. It was a classical and I didn't have one, so I've had a great time with it. |

Put some D'Addario EJ45Cs on this old dog a few hours ago, using the "composite 3rd string", which I quite like thus far. For a freebie, she's a nice little classical - the string tension is actually not bad for playing with a pick. Action's 3mm at the low E. Easy to play. Love the strings.
Vintage Yamaha strikes again!
