Default Getting used to my NS-7

After owning my 2002 NS-7 for a few weeks (my first nylon string guitar), I think I am finally beginning to make the playing adjustments that are needed going from my 516ce. Lighter touches, not digging in as much when strumming, etc. I have to say I'm really enjoying the tone of the guitar. I play plugged in most of the time, and I found that taking the "blend" all the way to the SBT (away from the 'pick-up') has taken away most of the "quack" and giving it a more woody, natural voice.

Question re strings: How often are Nylon strings supposed to be changed, say in relative comparison to steel strings?

Changing strings? There are variables of course, e.g., how much you're playing, nail length, playing style, etc. I play for about an hour each day (more on the weekends) and I change my bass strings about three or four times a year and the trebles maybe twice a year.

I've read that most people change the bass strings fairly frequently and the trebles hardly at all.
