Default PRICE DROP - 2006 Lowden O35 Myrtle Redwood has cosmetic issues $2,700

2006 Lowden O35 Myrtle Redwood has cosmetic issues $2,700 and $150 shipping

This guitar has a unique sound. I am the second owner and have had it since around 2008. It has outlasted all my many Lowdens which I have bought and sold (about 10). The best word I can use for its tone is "pretty". The redwood myrtle combo is very interesting. The redwood gives the sound both a soft round quality and at the same time a brightness. It has a got the big full sound of Lowden Os. It sounds great with a slide. It has a K and K pure mini pickup with a volume control just behind the soundhole. K and K are not undersaddle and are the least invasive pickup there is. I havent used the pickup in seven years so i cant guarantee its working.

Now for the issues: there are three professionally cleated cracks on the top, one near the side on the top and one on the lower bout behind the saddle and one farther down on the lower bout. You dont really see them and one is only three inches long. You can feel one of them with your fingertip. The saddle was coming up just a tad and I had a guitar tech screw it down. The screw is covered by abalone and actually looks kind of cool. The idea that putting a screw in the saddle will effect the guitar's tone is just not true. None of the cleated cracks or the saddle fix have effected the tone of this guitar to my ears. It still sounds beautiful. I'm only selling because I have become a convert to Avalon guitars. It also has what appears to be a very small stain you can see in the picture above the soundhole near the top side which is where one of the cracks was. The luthier who fixed the crack there tried to do something with the finish and ended up making that little stain. There are also two pretty good dings in the top in that area that you can see in the picture and one pretty small ding on the back as well. Despite the issues, the myrtle redwood combo makes this a gorgeous guitar to look at.

So if you dont need a minty guitar and are in it for the sound, this is a guitar you could love. Email is better than messaging on AGF . You can also call me at 575-535-2760.

I dont have any soundclips but I could zoom with you and play it for you. I have also pasted a youtube video of someone playing a smaller Lowden with the same wood combo below. Mine has more bass.

Smile Bridge…

I expect you mean the bridge was screwed down. Was it glued as well?

The saddle is the bone bit, of course.

I bet this sounds real nice.

Best on the sale
