Default Son's College Graduation; Anyone Else?

Headed to SoCal (Santa Barbara) next week for my son's graduation. End of a 23-year parenting chapter. I recall starting a thread here, nearly 5 years ago, about dropping him off. There's an expression - something about time and flying.

Anyone else experiencing pomp and circumstance?

patrickgm60,

Congratulations! My youngest graduated from Optometry school this past May so I know how proud you are.

On a related note, I am a college professor and I've gone to every commencement since I joined the faculty 15 years ago and am always so proud of our graduates each year. I know the sacrifices they and their families have made and it is truly heartwarming to watch them walk across that stage.

Congratulations again,
PJ

Not sure I can remember the details...we went through this ritual about ten years ago.

My Daughter (youngest) graduated last month (U of MN), and we're taking her to Princeton next month to start her graduate fellowship in plasma physics. Yes, she's a brainiac!

My daughter is just starting this fall. Can't believe it, she was a baby a few minutes ago.

We hope and pray and worry about them.

Congrats...

My son graduated this last month on 5/12. It was also my mom's 87th birthday. The whole family came to the party. It was great!

congrats to all of you - it's a great moment!
My oldest (of 2 boys) just graduated from Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio.
He is going to Vanderbilt (Nashville -yea!) in August to finish as a Nurse Practitioner.
Couldn't be prouder.
Now for that second son........................

My daughter just graduated from pharmacy school. Hit the books hard for 4 years, it's a grind. We are very proud of her.

My joke is that she graduated from the 21st grade.

My 1st daughter is graduating Cal Poly this weekend. I am so proud of her. When she was 4 years of age, due to l/d’s The renowned experts in reactive medicine promised she would never read, write, nor become independent. She’s my crowning achievement. Never give up and ignore most doctors!

Nope. I don't have a son and daughter graduated grad-school a year ago. Nice to have them supporting themselves.
