Default Song intros that sound fancy/nice but are actually easy to play.

Like the intro to Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive. For a beginning acoustic guitar player. Preferably popular classic rock/pop songs. Thanks!

I couldn't nail down easy relative to a beginner. The Boxer's intro is simple. Leader Of The Band, Yellow Brick Road, Fire And Rain, Helplessly Hoping, Moon Shadow, Toulouse Street, Old Man, Morning Has Broken, I Got A Name, Who'll Stop The Rain, and pretty much my whole repertoire of covers are simple.

I think so many are easy but this late in the game I have a disconnect with a beginner's opinion of them. The instrumental itself is pretty busy and engaging but the intro to Classical Gas is one of the easier ones.

Try "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd. I just play an open G and then pluck and hammer my index finger along the second fret (5th, 4th and 3rd strings). End with a D.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond. The David Gilmour live acoustic version.

The 4 note cross picked arpeggio that kicks in after all his noodling about with pentatonic riffs. I've seen it called an Eadd9 chord. It took a few hours of constant repetition to pick it cleanly go back and forth from the C chord and the Gm chord to still picking those 4 notes cleanly. Once you nail that part, it's an incredibly easy song to play.

The harder part is the outro where you constantly play that 4 note cross pick arpeggio but then add the a 5th and 6th note alternating between the 8th & 10th fret of the high e-string with your pinky while keeping the 6th fret of the B string and the 8th fret of the D string anchored.

Watch the Gilmour video. That part kicks in when Dick Parry strolls on stage to play the iconic sax solo.

Some 90s Rock/Pop Tunes:
Under The Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers
All Apologies - Nirvana
Undone, The Sweater Song - Weezer

Re to Pitar's suggestion on Fire and Rain: I just learned it recently, it took me an hour or two get the basics (youtube lessons helped immensely, as the tabs out there just can't capture fingering and emphasis placed on the notes effectively). What a great intro. I would probably characterize it as difficult to a beginner, but definitely a good goal/challenge.

Redemption Song by Bob Marley is another song with a very recognizable riff that's really easy.

The acoustic intro to Garth Brooks' If Tomorrow Never Comes is wonderful. No, it ain't Rock, but it's cool.

The intro to CSNY "Almost Cut My Hair" is easy and has a good sound, as is the intro to the Janis Joblin/Big Brother "Summertime."

The intro to Led Zeppelin's 'Over the Hills and Far Away' was always a favorite of mine.
