ahhhh - I see that the beautiful "Guitar in a bag" has indeed been created! Mine "In a Bag Baby" all dusty, broken and trimmed was beautiful, but truth be told the Guitar in the Case was what I fell in love with.

Uh-oh. Cocobolo.
Does Mary have her Hazmat suit back from the dry cleaners?!? As the owner of one McKnight MiniMac with coco back and sides, and another McKnight Minimac with Englemann top, I'm betting you will be plenty pleased (just don't ask me to tear the top off the one guitar to match to the b&s of the other, all in order to give you a preview of what it'll sound like...) |

The luthier, too, may have some sort of problem with this wood, but he would never admit to it.
I have seen him in the doctor's office with bronchitis over the past two weeks. The stuff really hangs on! Once he can get his wits about him we will get back out there and hammer out a guitar for Trevor.

Maybe it's fatigue??? his hand were moving pretty fast in the picture where he's gluing the rosette...
I don't get along with Coco either... I have to wash my hands about every 2 min. Harv

But there's also the optivisor, ear plugs, glue cleanup, allergies, injuries, expensive wood in the burn pile.... Not that I'm complaining or anything

I'm feeling guilty about ordering cocobolo now. I have a few more in coco on order but have been thinking of moving towards alternative/sustainable woods in the future anyways.
Kent, I thought you al sat under trees with a few hand tools and your own personal shaft of sunlight while angels played sweet harp music?

LOL Oh, Yeah - you know it. How many times has Harv washed his hands? I understand, Harv!!! I'm a chronic nail biter at the wrong times. Eeeck. My neck will feel like shards of glass are digging in. Sometimes my tongue will swell and I have to get out of the shop for a few minutes. I know to limit being close to the equipment when the Cocobolo is out. No vacuum system that I will be able to afford will filter every spec of Cocobolo sawdust. I was "stupid" long ago. Early on, as I was deciding which wood looked great as trim color wise, I, forgive me as announce my own ignorance and I know others who have done this, would manage to lick my thumb or, worse yet ... the wood itself ... to envision the true color of the finished product. I learned quickly that ALL trees are not created equal. As a tree surgeon's daughter I can remember many times when my dad would take a splint of a fresh cut tree and chew on it with his front teeth to get a taste test since it smelled heavenly as he cut it. Of course it was probably a sweet tree like Sassafras or something like that. Good grief, I had to learn the rough way. Trev, it's OK. I love the looks of this wood. I like to smell it. I will even handle it often after it is covered in the final spray.

And you just relax and play awesome guitars all day, don't you? "Maybe get a blister on your little finger, maybe get a blister on your thumb...." Hope Tim is up and running soon.
