Emerald gig bag review
Just did this for another thread, figure it might have a broader audience if anyone here is curious.

Seems like a decent enough bag... guitar fits you well by the way

I think the bad for my X20 is just ok. I’d rather put it in my Mono

FWIW, my X20's came with the Hiscox cases, but mostly ride around in a Taylor Hard Bag, aka Access Stage 3.

I found I rarely use my hard cases, over the past few years, when I have a lighter option with at least some protection. Real giggers probably need the hard case for going to shows etc.

I never use hard cases. They gather dust and take up space in my spare room. I bought a really nice, high-end Gator gig bag for the Martin but when I ordered my X20 custom I opted for just the gig bag. Being CF I figured why pay for a hard case I'd never use.
I knew the X20 would likely fit into the Gator (it does) if I needed more protection than the Emerald gig bag offers but again since the X20 is CF it really does not need extra protection. I pretty much always transport my X20 in it's Emerald gig bag. I think it's a decent looking bag and it's easy to spot since it is grey and blue and has the big Emerald logo and name. |
