[QUOTE=Silly Moustache;5887104][QUOTE=olhill;5855748]My first Eastman, sounds great, plays great, priced right. #72 of 130. Nice build sheet https://www.eastmanguitars.com/e1p_ltd

Hi, I bought one of these as it reminded me of a Martin 2-17 I once had, but although advertised as having a 1 &13/16" nut width it came with a skinny 1 & 11/16" nut which is no good for me, so had to send it back.

Such a shame as it was well set up, looked great and sounded really very good.

Are you coping with the rhythm neck on a parlour guitar?
Hey SM, the one in the quoted link is showing a 1 11/16 nut width. Did you get that one or another model? Or am I just confused. I have the E2OM and it's dead on 1 3/4

I really enjoy my new E-40D...BTW, it does have the 1 3/4 nut as advertised.

Default Early Eastmans

Sorry to come late to the thread. I have two AJ 615C Engelman over Sitka guitars. They are four digit serial numbers and are twenty numbers apart. One I bought new(natural) , the other(full body sunburst) I recently bought used. Both came from the factory with rather thick, untapered bridges and fairly shallow neck sets. With the solid carved backs and lightly braced tops, they are fingers style and light touch instruments.

I play it as much as my J45 and my D18.
I have the rosewood version, E20 ooss and it is an amazing guitar. It plays and sounds amazing!

Hey, Andy. Is it possible that you confused the specs for the E1P-LTD with the E10P? The E1P-LTD is / was always spec’d with the thinner nut width, whereas the traditional E10P has the thicker specs.

Beautiful guitar. Did you get the burst model or the standard spruce top?

Last week I acquired an AC122-1CE. I got it at a small local guitar store that's going out of business due to owner retiring. I'm learning on it and enjoying every minute!

Cheers!

I recently picked one of these up and I can second that. Would have gladly paid twice what I did for this instrument.
Eastman guitars seem to just keep on getting better every year.

I just added a new (demo) E20OM-SB last week, and loving it. Great addition to my guitar stable. I also second the previous comment, I've owned a total of 7 Eastman acoustics, and the new one's keep getting better. In the next year my final Eastman acquisition will be an E10OO... cause I need another 12 fret of course

It’s true, in the next two weeks the whole stable gets cleaned up and freshly strung. Haven’t tried those Martin strings yet, so we’ll see how they do. Normally it’s Daddario phosphor bronze lights. I also just ordered some phosphor bronze nanoweb lights for the following string change, a good Black Friday sale from strings and beyond. Gotta experiment right?

Hi,

I got the sunburst top. Super happy with it, although, I'm a new player and can't do it justice right now.

Those S&B sales give us opportunities to experiment. I picked up some stock strings, as well as a few others to try. Rather than taking on all my guitars at once, I usually work on 1-2 per week, so it's like painting the Golden Gate Bridge.
