Not that I've checked into pricing for such things.

Considering the house I am about to retire to (June of this year) is only about twice that price, it seems high to me. But have you looked at the size of that house?! On the west side of Houston?! He could certainly afford the pool!

No. Look at the photo. That is one enormous pool - and 100% custom designed. Probably a steal.
