Default "James" - Pat Metheny - fingerstyle solo guitar

Hi friends of fingerstyle guitar music,

this is my fingerstyle arrangement of Pat Metheny´s tune "James", what he had recorded 1982 with the Pat Metheny Group.

Hope you like it....

greetings from Germany
Gerhard

Oh boy, I have loved that melody from the very first listen, and it still sounds fresh all this time later! Great arrangement and playing, Gerhard.

Thanks!!

Hi Bob,
thank you very much..... Yes, it sounds fresh. I think, as like all great compositions, there music never gets old.... if it is classical music or the so called jazz standards and also pop music. If the composer did a hius job well, the music will stay....

greetings from Germany - Gerhard

Default Lovely!

I've heard Pat say that out of his 500 compositions, there are only "about the number of fingers on one hand" that he considers indestructible. You can play them any way you want, and it still sounds good.

That was so cool......flawless. And what a great song choice.

I'm journeying (tiptoeing) into fingerstyle now and loved seeing your technique up close.

Thanks for that performance...........
