Thanks Dustin! I do hope you will have a chance to play her at some point in the future.

The combinations of this build remind me of many different types of chocolate being enjoyed while in a cathedral (the ABW, binding, etc. and that rosette)--two of my favorite things to explore! You are a very fortunate man, who has very good taste in guitars, Cigarfan.
Thanks for your comments. I told Jason the first time we spoke I'd wanted one of his since I first read his bio. As it nears, I am all a flutter. Can't stop thinking about the reality of holding this beauty!

Keep em' crossed. I should hear from Jason soon when the finisher sends it back to him for the final steps and setup. Once that happens we will know pretty much for sure if B.I.G. will be the unveiling.

Dennis,

I'm late to this thread, but that is one magnificent looking instrument! The rosette looks like it belongs in a cathedral! Excited for you on this one!

I've read this whole thread several times now and I always end up grinning like an idiot to see what Jason is doing with this sublime instrument. Congratulations, it's a serious piece of kit!

That’s so beautiful. In my build notes for my upcoming Kostal build, I mentioned to Jason to discuss alternate binding options and I love the look of that cocobolo binding on this MDW. Can’t wait to hear a demo.

Thumbs up

Awesome guitar shaping up here, Dennis.

Your experience from prior builds, coupled with what seems like a magic relationship between you and Jason, is leading to a truly special build. Love your sharing it so generously with us (and the upcoming crowd at B.I.G. )

Just amazing! Beautiful looking guitar - I think this may well be my favourite Kostal, aesthetically.

The aesthetics of this guitar is off the charts. Very elegant, classy and colorful all at the same time.

Best,
Jayne

Well folks, the guitar made it back to Jason's shop right on time. He tells me unless there is something totally unforseen, this guitar will make it to the B.I.G. event. He and Michael will arrive the same day I do and we are staying at the same place so I may get to audition her a week from today! I'm am losing my mind with anticipation!

I received some new pics I hope to get posted this evening. The artwork is eye popping but you won't believe the silking in the German Spruce top. Rises to the level of "figure". Just gorgeous!

Grinning is my middle name now! I am counting on you for an honest opinion at B.I.G.

Hope to have some audio after B.I.G. And I agree 100%, the Coco is a perfect match for this box.

Thanks Andy. Just sorry you couldn't make it to the inaugural dance. Hope you can make it next year.

Love the look myself. And given Jason's prowess as a builder, the tone will be heavenly.

Couldn't have said it better myself. And exactly what I said to Jason before we got started.

WOOT WOOT. That is such great news....Dennis told me about 6 weeks ago that Jason was really working hard to get this to B.I.G., but all the stars had to align and thank goodness they did.

What a feather in the cap for B.I.G. This will be two guitars that will be revealed to their new owners at the event. Edwinson is also making a delivery to a customer!!!

How exciting, two guitars seen in person for the first time after years waiting!!!

Way to go Jason and thank you so much for Dennis for coming to B.I.G.!!!!
