We are proud to have John share this remarkable story at B.I.G.

Still have space for anyone whose schedule has freed up for two weeks from now! Just PM me and we can work it out.
Thanks, Tom!

I’ve never had a more satisfying guitar experience than passing around to refugees a guitar originally purchased in late 1943 by a young, American soldier who took the guitar to the European battle front of WWII. I feel beyond privileged to be able to use this same instrument to bring joy to people living in the Moria refugee camp in Lesvos, Greece, a spot rendered infamous last fall by a New York Times article entitled, “‘Better to Drown’: A Greek Refugee Camp’s Epidemic of Misery.”

I’m looking forward to meeting folks and to passing around the guitar!

Back to guitars.

We have received a pretty good indication that the Kostal being built for Cigarfan will be revealed to him at B.I.G. We had thought it might make it and it looks like that is going to happen.

Edwinson guitars has also informed me that he will be delivering a new guitar to one of his customers as well at B.I.G. How cool is that?

Two brand new builds being revealed at the first B.I.G. I really could not be happier and I thank luthier and customer alike for coming to the event and sharing their new builds!!! This just adds to all the good things that will be happening!

WOOT WOOT!

Sad to miss this year but I hope to make it next year. I accomplished my job quest, which should be much better in the long run.

Congrats on that one!!! That is not only an amazing set of Koa (flamed Koa, so cool) it sounds amazing. I don't think I have seen a set of Koa like that before.
The sustain and overtones on the first few notes of the first song was all I needed to hear. Beautiful.

I surely hope this one finds a new home next week. So excited to try this one and I agree, the OO is a lovely size, perfect to hold and large enough to sing!!!

When I was down at the shop last weekend picking up my 00 this guitar was in the final stages of completion. It is even prettier in person than it is in the video. I can't believe how big a sound these 00's can produce, wow. My prediction is this guitar will not make it back to Nacogdoches from BIG, it really is that nice!! Steve/Ryan, congrats on another great guitar.

I just returned from shipping four guitars to Texas. I went with FedEx ground as Spring is springing all over the place, which means radical weather/humidity is unlikely. See you next week!

Update on where we are with our other BIG guitars. There’s this one and another we’re not quite as far along on. See you next week.

Love that bearclaw with the burst - that looks fantastic! Is this one also a 00? Did I hear you guys say you were bringing a 000?

Stan, this is the 000. It’s a big boy compared to the 00’s. Thanks, the burst does look nice.

I’ll spend another full day tomorrow in refugee camps in Lesvos, Greece, playing music and handling around the went-to-WWII guitar (when I’m not meeting with a Doctors Without Borders). It’s been a humbling and moving 2 weeks. Here’s a photo from yesterday’s session.

See you all in a week.

Sounds great Bruce, Steve, Ryan, and John. This is shaping up to be a mighty fine weekend of friends and guitars.
