Smile New Acoustic Amp :Prodpipe Natrual

Has anyone come across these new acoustic amps from Prodpipe.
There is the Prodpipe Natural 5 and the Natural 6.

I quite like the sound from this demo on YouTube. They have some nice bottom end for the size.

What do you think?

I think it sounds boxy, and not in a "good" way.

Not a great video - no real info about what you’re hearing, or how - but if I ran into one of those in a shop, I’d be tempted to give it a better listen -

Having another listen. I think when your not hearing the amp with the guitar directly plugged in the main guitar input. What's making it sound a bit better is the external mic.

That can be deceiving as once you go and play live your not going to hear that same sound. It's a lot cheaper then the AER. But because of the price I guess you get what you pay for.

I almost fell for it when I first heard the Tanglewood T6 which is another copy of the AER. It sounded great in the store at lower volume but when pushed it sounded over compressed. That was quite a few years ago when I took the Tanglewood amp back and got an AER. I have never regretted that decision.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Another thing is even when trying amps in the store don't forget in some stores the room is often acoustically treated to help enhance the sound. The thing is what's it going to sound like in the street.
