Wonderful version of Fix You Jeremy. I have a Cold Play play list I listen to at work and that song is just so different that whenever it comes on I just have stop and listen to it. I don't know why it touches me so. I love the change it undergoes about halfway through. Great production!!

Thanks, Roy! When I hear them play it I get chills when the electric guitar kicks in.

I finally got around to listening to this. Very nice.

I was particularly impressed by the smooth arpeggios done entirely with the thumb.

This is "hard sun" as done by Eddie vedder for the movie "Into the Wild" written by Gordon Peterson aka Indio

This is my Bourgieois OM recorded with my iphone. I rerecorded it with my mic setup but something happened and I lost it so I'm just posting this one.

Hope I win this I could really use 50 bucks worth of strings. I've been spending a lot on strings trying to find the right ones.

Really liked simplylulo's entry

This song by The Band was in Easy Rider... both song & movie are American Classics...

This is my version of:

The Weight

Hope you enjoy it! All the instruments and vocals are me.

Dave

Originally by Classics IV (although I don't think they wrote it) but it was covered by Dusty Springfield for the 1998 UK film Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels

Just realized that I posted my entry in the wrong thread - the initial announcement of May Showcase in the General Discussion forum. So apologies for repost:

SONG: On the Sunny Side of the Street

Words by Dorothy Field & Music by Jimmy McHugh. Originally written for and performed on Broadway in Lew Leslie’s 1930 International Revue. Showed up in the 1951 movie Sunny Side of the Street.

Tagged by most critics as “..an empty-headed musical,” the movie was a rickety vehicle for the careers of singers Frankie Laine and Billy Daniels.

Apologies for vocal. Getting over a cold.

Thanks for doing this showcase.

Hopefully this link will work better. Thanks MC1!
