Default Side set with no back?

Hey guys, I've got an issue with collecting sides (just the sides) from other luthiers in my area. The problem is there is NO matching back! So right now I have a beautiful pre-bent set that I'd love to find something somewhat close to matching and I'm curious to what your opinions are. Would I be able to find something for it or am I just wasting time. It's an Indian rosewood set. I do have a local lumber store but they only sell African rosewood.

Thanks!

Luke,

Have you tried Allied or LMI?

I couldn't find where they just sell a back at LMI. Allied I've never heard of...

Ya I like the the backs these guys sell. The shipping for me might be outrageous but I do like their selection of wood!

Allied is a very reputable business with a great selection of wood. Just a short drive north of LMI. You might also consider contrasting woods for back and sides. I did this on one that the sides refused to bend without cracking multiple times. I think it looks good.

Just out of curiosity. What woods were you using? ( including the top)

The back and sides were maroke. Replaced the sides with EIR spares I had. Top is spruce.
