That Calton looks good too, much smoother than my 2006 model.
Thank you, I heard Caltons have changed a bit in the past few years. With respect to the guitar, yes, I guess it will be famous . I have not found detailed information about the show, just a synopsis on the Guitar Hunters facebook page.

«Guitar Hunters is a 10 episode docuseries that follows Jay and Greg, two passionate collectors and rebels on their quest to uncover rare vintage guitars and the stories behind the strings. In the style of ‘American Pickers’ and ‘Parts Unknown’, Guitar Hunters pays homage to these iconic instruments. In each episode, our Guitar Hunters visit new cities, meet with interesting collectors, historians and musicians while discovering the legacies behind these vintage guitars. ... This show is dedicated to the creation of these instruments, the devotion of the luthiers, and the passion of the collectors.»

Just a little update. The guitar should come back from finish in four weeks or so. In the meantime, the VS tuners arrived. Chris insisted in that they are very worth a little upcharge. We opted for ebony buttons to match the fingerboard and bridge:

Chris and Jeremy just got some photos from the finisher after the first clear coat was applied. Here they come. I absolutely love these colours:

The Koa looks juicy (in lack of a better term), with extraordinary curl. Here you can also see the four piece laminated neck:

And the rosette is a masterpiece:

News from Chris
«Back from finishing today. A few poor quality snapshots. They don’t do it justice, especially the back»:

My dear friends, the guitar is strung up, complete, and ready. I am VERY happy with how it turned out. Chris and Jeremy really hit the sweet spot with this design in my opinion. Elegant, understated, but still with this Lame Horse crazyness which makes their guitars so special.

So here we go:

A sound sample will follow soon!

P.S. I am not really good at this, somehow the photos loose quality when I upload them here, sorry...
