How did I miss this last week?

I'm speechless, and that don't happen often.

That's some next level stuff Glenn.

Thank you Broy!

I appreciate that you keep on listening and taking time to comment! It means a lot to me! And I am glad you thought this came out well! You never know how a cover might strike people, good or bad.

I had spent a couple of weeks working on something that was just not working out and had me frustrated, so I thought, well, I'll do something I already know how to do! This came together fairly quickly and I'm very glad people seem to be appreciating it!

Thanks for watching! I hope all is well for you!

Hi Bob,

Thanks so much! And you are right, there are no acoustic guitars in this cover anywhere! So, I hope you'll forgive me. I just wanted to do something with my Rickenbacker 360-12. This is really an electric song.

Still, I am so glad you like it! That really tickles me, Bob!

I hope 2023 is good for you and your family, Bob! Be well!

Oh, wow! Thank you Ray!

How nice of you to say so! I always do my best but you know how it is; some songs just work for a person and some are just forced. I gave up on something I was forcing after a couple of weeks and then thought, I have to do something I know I can do.

And, I really wanted to use that Rickenbacker 360-12 again!

I hope you and your family are well! Enjoy 2023!

Interesting about the song, especially in light of the fact that the Byrds used the
services of the “Wrecking Crew” as hired guns on many of their recordings.

Thanks Rokdog.

I'm not sure by the time the Byrds recorded this song how much of the recording was done by players other than the Byrds members. I don't think much at all... Even from their first recording where the "Wrecking Crew" did much of the playing of the instruments, "Mr Tambourine Man," Roger McGuinn played his Ric 12-string. After "Mr Tambourine Man," I believe that the Byrds played their own instruments.

I'm just sounding like a broken record here - your ability to make a highly produced song like this sound just note for note perfect is mind-boggling to me. Another INCREDIBLE cover Glenn! Dug the sound of the Ric and the light-show too!

Thank you Ray!

How wonderful to hear from you! Thanks for your comments, Ray! I'm really glad you thought this came out well!

Yes, I agree on the Rickenbacker 12-string sound. It's unique. I'm very grateful to have that guitar.

The light show was from my using the stereo audio mixdown and a screen capture video recording program to record the images generated by Windows Media Player. I then used that video as a background on the green screen after I made my main video performance. Sometimes that approach works very well.

Thats correct the Byrds used the Wrecking Crew, only for the first debut single release of "Mr. Tamborine Man" on the A side, and also on the B Side cut "I Knew I'd Want You". McGuinn was the only Byrd who played on those two songs. After that is was the Byrds playing, although it is rumored at first they struggled and had to do multiple takes to get a keeper something like 80 takes on one song .

Thanks for your knowledge on this, Kevin! That info jives pretty much with what I remember, but I am hardly an expert.

Take care out there, Kev!
