Great production. All the vocals, with a Rickenbacker, and I'm assuming your Carvin bass.
The sound was great. Yeah, I remember the screaming girls thing, too.
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Westview!

Thank you for watching the video and for your comments! Much appreciated!

Yes, I did use my Carvin bass. And of course my Rickenbacker 360-12.

Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment here! I hope the new year will be good for you! Be well!

Thanks for bringing this one through for AGF!!! And...Happy New Year!
Hi Fred!

Thank you for taking time to watch and comment! I'm so pleased that you feel this came out well!

I remember "Cherish" very well! And "Windy," too! I got to see The Association live at Purdue when I was a student. They were super good!

I don't have a clear memory of how I heard "So You Want To Be a Rock and Roll Star" because I was in my first year of college at that time, probably like you. I didn't have money in those days for buying albums, but I was exposed to a lot of music in our dormitory. I had a good friend who was in a rock band and I remember going back home and hearing his band play this song. I thought that was so cool that they could do a Byrds song like that. I never imagined that I would be able to perform a song like this. Who could see where technology would take us?

Have a good year in 2023, Fred! Be well!

- Gleng

Brilliant. Hadn't heard that song before. You really put a lot of excellent work into that recording (video & audio), and the playing was superb. Great vocals too.

Enjoyed that, Glenn. Another super job. Tell us the truth…aren’t you a 70’s rocker in witness protection?

Hi Steve!

Nice to hear from you! I was just recently wondering how you were doing! I'm fine. Hanging in there.

It is nice to have the background vocalists. They get room and board, and generally they stay quiet and to themselves.

I hope 2023 is a good year for you!

Thank you Malcolm!

I'm glad you felt this came out well! I really appreciate your watching and your comments!

I did read that for some reason this song did not do well in the UK.

I'm thinking that the Byrds were reacting to the success of The Monkeys, who were pretty much a manufactured band.

I hope 2023 is a good year for you and your family! Be well, Malcolm!

Thank you Larry!

How nice of you! Thank you for the kind words!

Yes, the fireglo Rickenbacker finish is really pretty, I think! And that guitar sure has quite a sound to it! The Rickenbacker electric 12-string and the Byrds' harmony is what made them such a great and well-remembered band. It's still fun to listen to their old music.

Thanks for taking time to listen and provide comments here, Larry!
