What If A Bose S1-Pro Got Left On.....
For 24 hours, not plugged in, just running on battery ?

Like my daughter's iPhone, it would need to be charged. The latest electronics that is embedded in Lithium battery packs will make sure the cells are not reverse charged or damaged in any other way. All that fancy charge and discharge protection is multiply and incompatibly sourced by various semiconductor manufacturers guaranteeing that unless you own a mass market PC, there will never be a generic replacement battery. And the day Bose gives up making them you're screwed (that is if you actually use the battery and run out it's 300 or so discharge lifetime, or get unlucky and it fails some other way).

All seems fine, I was in a hurry and simply plugged it in and went to take care of business. I researched a little when I had time later and it appears it goes into sleep mode.
Thanks. I would imagine Bose will sell enough of the S1's to make batteries profitable for a few years.

I don't remember if it was here or on the Bose site, but there was discussion about the switch getting bumped when carrying the S1 around, and the battery getting discharged completely. I had that happen. The unit charged up fine. No sign that the battery suffered any ill effects.
A good reason to carry the power cord. And, double check the battery status before heading out.

When transporting my Bose S1 Pro in it's backpack, I move the switch to rapid charge in case it gets bumped it will most likely be flipped to the off position. I commonly use mine with a Behringer Xenix 1002B battery powered mixer and a Carlo Robelli U-Bass. We use the preamp sections of active DI boxes for individual instruments and the mixer EQ for the vocals. This allows for better gain staging to match the instruments to the board's inputs. I use a DC to AC inverter along with 9V battery chargers to charge the Bose S1 Pro and batteries between gigs.
