that wood was by far the sexiest one out of the chooses you provided. glad you picked such a beautiful wood, and seems like it's going to sing forever.

thanks for the compliment! This is definitely a beautiful figured piece! It had a noticeably better tap tone than the straight sets. special indeed!

Wow! That koa looks fantatic. I have a koa/Adirondack spruce Bourgeois JOM that's a great guitar. I bet this one of Jason's will sound amazing.

I was fortunate enough to play Jason's 31st guitar (a Mod D in Madagascar rosewood and spruce) recently. I'm writing a review for Acoustic magazine in the UK, to be published soon. It's fair to say that I wasn't disappointed - except when I had to give it back! I was also delighted to be able to interview Jason through the wonder of Skype. What a great guy. I must say that I have been very impressed with the guitar makers I've been privileged to talk to - Kent Hamblin, Mike Baranik, Gerald Sheppard, Stefan Sobell, Roger Bucknall, David Oddy and so many others. The acoustic guitar community seems to be blessed with lots of really nice people - and really talented ones too!

Very much looking forward to the review Richard. I see you have some tasty guitars so I'll be particularly interested in what you have to say.

I played 31 and ended up ordering one. The mod dread sound is new to me and I very much liked what I heard.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve

I liked Jason's guitar and I'm very interested in his OM model. It looks very much the sort of thing that appeals to me. It's good to see that although there's clearly a strong influence from his time with Ervin Somogyi, Jason's guitar has it's own distinctive characteristics too.

I'm interested in the fact that you ordered one? What specification is yours?

You're right I do have some nice guitars (thanks, in large part, to Trevor!). I can't possibly justify owning all of them, but I do! I'm going to part with some though, so that I can acquire one or two new ones. I'm suffering from choice neurosis at the moment, trying to decide which way to go....
