Thumbs up Here's how my Emerald X30 makes me a better guitar player...

I JUST SENT THIS MESSAGE TO EMERALD GUITARS...

Since making music is the most important thing...

Here's how my Emerald X30 makes me a better guitar player...

Simple answer; the clarity, responsiveness and sustain of every note, every position, every style.
But especially the clarity. Yes, of course it's a perfect guitar with precision playability. It's an EMERALD.

I have to elevate my playing to the level of excellence inherent in my guitar.

When I make a mistake it's magnified.
But that is a great thing.
I adjust and try not repeat the mistake.
And the guitar lets me know when I've corrected the mistake. And also If I can apply the correction more perfectly. The guitar works with me. A partnership.

The guitar pushes me. It is my muse. It is inspiring. It lives to be played. It has so much music in its DNA - waiting to burst out. It knows its purpose and destiny in life.

Each note is together with each other note... but... also at the same time, each note is distinctly independent of each other note. Amazing. How is this possible? That's EMERALD!

My X30 truly exceeds the high expectations I had in my heart for the guitar I would eventually receive.
Better than I imagined.
Wait. Not really. I knew that EMERALD could do it and they really did.
Great job.

Thank you all.

Ditto on the X30. Not to mention the comfort, feel, and durability. Simply a great musical instrument.

And I understand some people consider me to be an Emerald fanbois?

It hurts my heart to say, but I have been playing for 58 years... I really should be better at it. I truly appreciate the great sound, playability, and comfort of my Emeralds, but I'm still the same old rock 'n roller playing acoustic that I was before getting an Emerald. Old dogs, new tricks? Or maybe, like my long-time music partner: if I practiced more and took some lessons from a master teacher, I would become a better player. I don't know - that sounds like a lot of work to me.

Beautiful! I love the way they outlined it with the black edges.

Default My EMERALD Journey has begun...

My EMERALD Journey has begun...

Yes, I've owned literally a countless number of acoustic steel string guitars. More than 30 Taylors. That's just the Taylors. RainSongs, etc. Yes! also all the other brands you just thought of. All acoustic.

NAMM member.

I'm going ALL Carbon Fiber - after all these guitars - after all these years.

Now my tiny condo in FL is a meager 907 SF - without a huge guitar basement.
So I'm transitioning to mostly EMERALD CF guitars.
"Mostly" means I have some guitars I can't part with.
For example... one of Sam Radding's very first original GO GUITARs. And others... You know who Sam is, correct? You should.

MY EMERALD JOURNEY

I think YouTube first introduced us.
I observed and listened.
I ordered a custom X30 having never ever personally touched an EMERALD.

I was getting antsy waiting.
So I bought a "current stock" EMERALD X7 to help me wait for my X30.

There are MANY styles of EMERALD I need.
Yes "need" hahaha.

My first wife said, "but honey you already have a guitar!"

My second wife said, "Honey, isn't it about time you got 'another' guitar?"

(We had a deal - any time I got another guitar she got another piece of jewelry. But the arrangement truly worked. No, I'm not wealthy. I'm a Mega Guitar Nerd. God, Love, People, Music and Acoustic Guitars.)

So, I'm thinking of these for my next two EMERALDS...

X20 Nylon, short scale, woody, custom nut width, custom neck profile

X ???? 12 String, all custom options including the fundamental strings on the top - like Taylor has available.

Now that I know what EMERALD can do, I'm gonna be very selective in designing all my future EMERALDS. I trust them.

I'm also totally sold on the HyVibe system which I ordered on my X30. I ordered it because Davy was having so much fun in the HyVibe Demo video with Alistair.

I'm waiting for EMERALD to return from annual vacation and having them perfectly fix my flawed HyVibe install. I'm encouraged because EMERALD is committed to make my / your guitar "perfect".

I'll let all know how EMERALD resolves the problem.
(So I haven't been able to use the HyVibe at all.)

I'm truly enjoying My EMERALD Journey.
