But no where on that link does it indicate it is a a ranking order "in numerical order of rating " List.

just sayin'
Looks like a ranking to me. Look at guitarists 1 through 10 and then 91 through 100.

Thanks, Jon.

The way I figure it, it’s simply nice to be noticed at all, in a large world filled with remarkable talent.

On the thread I posted when this was released, I think I mentioned that 24 of the names were friends of one sort or another...and I could also mention a half dozen or more that I know are just as talented as anybody on the list...but were not included.

They’ll get over it. I’m over not being included in other lists.

Kinloch Nelson. I had the pleasure of hearing him play with my head about three feet away from the guitar, absolutely amazing player. He keeps a low profile but he is an incredible player.

Definitely short on flat pickers. Besides Brian Sutton, I'd also add Billy Strings and Uwe Kruger.

I am glad to that the late Mick Dunn made it (barely) on their (very subjective) list.

Steve Howe is on their list of greatest rock guitarists - possibly because he plays a lot of electric guitar as well as acoustic.

Ok for you it can be if you need it to be .. doesn't change the fact that it is not stated as such on the web page .
