Wonder why on page 2 he has
C/G numbered as 342010
G7 numbered as 3x400x
F numbered as 134211
????
One mistake you could understand as a typo, but it's pretty consistent with that "4"

The numbers denote which finger you use. Fret position is shown in the tab.

Ahhh....I don't think I've ever seen that done before. I can't imagine people don't know where to put fingers in the proper place for a chord??

Thanks Valleyguy for sharing - it is a beautiful song which I will take pleasure in learning. Think it will take a while, the sequence of fingerpicking seems challenging to me. Somehow my thumb(s) are not independent enough to let them other fingers do their job without wanting to interfere. Oh well... we'll get a hang of it eventually.

When I tackle a song like this I never try to match the tab or copy the original flawlessly. I guess you could say I'm somewhat lazy, but I will take shortcuts and simplify it to my own liking/taste. That way I can get up and running quicker to accompany my singing. As I lay the song over time, I add the embellishments or areas where I simplified.

You can go to Youtube and find him playing this version (the acoustic unplugged version) as well as some "how to" videos.
