Default Figure of 8 for vocals, super cardioid on guitar.

There was a thread about recording vocal and guitar together.

I've been doing that for some time now. In case you want to hear ho much separation I get, here's a link to a folder with three files.

-A guitar track using a Schoeps cmc641
-A vocal track using the figure of eight element in the Audio-Technica AT4050ST mic here for review.
-A stereo mix combining the two with processing I might normally use.

If you download them, you can import them into audio software and get a better idea of how this may work for you.

Hi Ty...
Would you please tell us more about your physical positioning of the mics you refer to? Thanks so much...

Sure,

Figure of 8 from the AT4050ST (stereo mic) positioned horizontally for vocals, so you can easily rotate it to null the guitar. Schoeps pointing almost straight down near where the neck joins the body (positioning depends on where you can get a good tone and reject vocals off the back)

I wasn't in the best spot in my room, but one that works OK when I'm at the keyboard.

Ty Ford
