2018 Goodall Traditional Baritone-MINT-SOLD
This is a really special guitar, from a legendary builder. If you've ever played a Goodall, I don't have to convince you of the cathedral of sound their instruments produce, and this is one of the most versatile models in their lineup. The scale length is calibrated so that if capo'ed at the second fret, it's the same scale length as their 12 fret traditional dread. It ships from the Goodall shop with medium gauge strings tuned D to D (capo 2 and you have a standard 12 fret dread), but it can be set up with heavier strings to be tuned as low as B to B.
It has a master grade Bearclaw Sitka top and EIR B/S. I'm disappointed that this one hasn't worked out for me. It sounds magical, and complements my singing voice in ways a standard scaled and tuned guitar just can't achieve. I wanted a Goodall Traditional Baritone so badly that I ignored my own rule to stick with guitars with wider string spacing. This one has the standard Goodall specs, with a 1-3/4" nut and 2-1/4" spacing at the saddle, which seems to be ideal for most, sadly not for me. I looked into having a nut with wider spacing cut, but it just won't buy me enough room for my fat fingertips. I'm the second owner, have only had it for a month, and the first owner kept it it showroom condition. In basically as-new condition, I'm selling it at less than half what it would cost to have one built for you (good luck finding another one in any condition currently).
