ISO: Great cutaway for finger picker
Hi, I play a Martin 0018v and I love the sound of it. Wish it had a deeper low end but I like it more than the 00018. Anyways, I’m looking for a cutaway of the same quality and I’m not sure where to look. Lots of cutaway guitars out there but if they’re too boom-y it’ll take away from my playing style. Anyone got some ideas?

The Martin GPC-16, with it's 000 depth, just might be the guitar you are looking for.

I've owned the 0018v in the past, great guitar. Do yourself a huge favor and grab one of these, I've had one around a short time and I can't keep my hands away from it. The most fun I've ever had with any guitar, and it sounds excellent, acoustic or plugged in.I'll be posting a review soon.

Thanks, the price makes me wonder if either has the quality that I’m looking for.
I’ll have to try them if I can find them around Denver. |

I think you might like a Collings 000. I have a Martin Steve Miller Signature “Pegasus”. they are a bit rare- Martin guitars with a cutout are unusual.
It’s a 000 with a cutout and has mahogany b/s and englemann top. Has better low end than my Collings 00. Revrb also has an old Martin JC-40 which is a little larger than a 000, but not any bigger than a Taylor GA. I really like those Martin 40 models. It’s going to have a more prominent low end. |

Thanks, totally fine with it being any brand, just want it to be on the level with my 0018. |

Played a Taylor 614ce builder’s addition today and that was pretty nice, store didn’t have any of the ones recommended in this thread but I’ll keep looking. Anyone know if there’s a difference in sound quality between the builder’s addition and the other 614ce guitars?
