Default Source for Ebony Tuner Buttons for Grovers

I want to change the worn gold buttons on some Grovers for ebony. I did search the AGF and found old threads with out of date links.

Some on ebay look like junk. There are a couple of choices on amazon but I'm wondering if I should just go with the Allparts and know I'm getting something that will fit properly. Any sources for quality buttons?

Check with Hipshot. Their buttons fit Grover as well as their own Hipshot tuners.

Wow, you were put off by postage which would be roughly the cost of a pack of cigarettes? I think we live on different planets. Sorry I tried to help.

Well, I did buy these despite the shiping cost as I stated above your snarky comment: http://www.lmii.com/products/kit-wiz...lypage-noimage

and just tried to install them. They don't fit on my grovers. Not happy. I've asked for a full refund.

Back to the drawing board.

That sucks, David. I just read the description, and it described them as "Grover style." But I'm wondering if they're actually intended for Gotoh tuners and just have the Grover kidney bean button shape.

Towards the bottom of this page on the Allparts website there are several sets of aftermarket buttons for Grover tuners. I can personally attest that those will fit Grover Rotomatic tuners:

Hope this helps.

You might look at Tone Ninja tuner buttons. SportHiTech is a dealer for Hipshot (same button fit as Grover), so they should know that they work. I haven't tried them, though. I have swapped buttons between Grover and Hipshot and that's worked fine, and I've purchased from SportHiTech in the past.

That's what I intend to get. Trying to get my money back from Luthiers Mercantile.
