Default The Beatles Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years tonight on PBS

Looking forward to Ron Howard's take on the early Beatle phenomenon. PBS is backing this up with a repeat of Sgt Peppers Musical Revolution that originally aired in June.

Football takes a back seat to the flattened 6th chord!!!!!

Yes it is its true!

I don't have Dish, but is there a PBS affiliate on your lineup?

Thanks from me also for the heads-up. I’m watching NHL hockey tonight, so I’m recording it to watch later.

You're better off. I had to sit through an hour of PBS begging for money.

I know, I know, but it's a tired way of doing it. A simple beginning / end drive thingy would bring in the same money I'm sure......

They should develop a means by which one gets to watch the uninterrupted program AFTER making a donation....

It was very well done! Kudos to Ron Howard, who as usual, did an incredible job taking an over-exposed storyline and making it fresh again.

I receive the local PBS station via The Dish and the listing for 8:00 was a thirty minute program called, As Time Goes By. Nevertheless, I programmed the DVR to record that program and found it recorded thirty minutes of, The Beatles Eight Days A Week.

That's what behaviorists refer to as negative reinforcement. An aversive stimulus is removed after the desired behavior is performed. Don't know how the technology could be accomplished, but I truly believe that such a system would increase giving. As it is, even if you make a donation, you still have to suffer through the seemingly endless plea for donations. I think a lot of people just tune out and don't donate. I know that PBS needs the money and all that; I just don't know if it could be raised in a more efficient manner....

You're not kidding...

I watched the documentary today, and it was great, but I couldn't believe the lengthy time frames I had to forward thru...

I don't know if I'd been able to sit thru it uninterrupted...
