Default Is Seinfeld tv show really 30 years old?

Read a headline that the Seinfeld tv show is 30 years old. It took me by surprise at how much time has passed. Other shows from that era strike me as being 30 years old but not Seinfeld.

What about you?

Everything strikes me as my being old.

Jerry just threw out the first pitch yesterday for the Mets.

He mentioned that he is 65 years old.

Just something else to process.

Makes sense. My daughter and Seinfeld (the show, not the guy) were born in the same year. She turned 30 a few months ago...

I saw that. One of the best there ever was on TV.
Made me think that if there was ever a show which could pull off a reunion movie, it would be this one. All 4 are alive, and so is Larry David. (although he couldn't do George Steinbrenner any more. )
Would be a challenge, but I'd watch it for sure.

I assume you mean the show.
You might want to reword that.

Done. Otherwise, she'd be older than me. Which seems, uhh, unlikely.

Hard to believe it's been 30 years...

And I still think the episode "The Contest" AKA "Master Of Your Domain" might be the funniest thing I've ever seen on Network television...

I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes all the way thru...

Was he wearing a 'puffy shirt'?

That was the ultimate "water cooler" TV episode. I don't think anyone got anything done for at least the first hour or two of work the next day because all anyone was doing was hanging out talking and laughing about that episode. At least that's what happened in my office.

We couldn't believe anyone would talk about THAT on prime time TV - now it would barely rate a raised eyebrow...

I actually liked the marine biologist episode more overall. "The sea was angry that day my friends". Every now and then I still catch a rerun of an episode I'd completely forgotten about and I about lose my stuff all over again... Greatest sitcom ever, to be sure.

The "spongeworthy" episode was pretty good too.

Technically 30 years old. But, no one knew it was on the air until the 4th season and "The Contest" episode.

Maybe my wiring is different, but I never enjoyed the show. I've seen maybe six episodes and just did not "get it". But I'm glad that so many did.

After attending the NAMM show in LA the one year it wasn't in Anaheim, my contact and I went out driving around to explore. His wife wanted to cruise Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. We crawled through the area (in traffic) and she mentioned that she had not seen anyone famous. Just then, while stopped at the traffic light, Jerry Seinfeld crossed right in front of our car.
