Default Kacey Musgraves sings "Burn One With John Prine" live to, er, John Prine

Gotta see this if you're a Prine fan. Kacey is a huge one.

L20:

As typical with Prine, the conversation before the song is even funnier than the song.

Hilarious! What fun to watch that one... so glad that John is getting some of the accolades he has always deserved... and doubly glad that he's still around to hear them!

Thanks for posting this one...

Agreed. Another thing that heartens me is the new crop of younger writers, like Kacey, who fit loosely in the same vein and are writing some pretty dang good songs. Perhaps I'll post another one of hers later in this thread. She's a heckuva writer, funny and serious, just like JP. Been listening to her a lot the last couple weeks.

thanks!

Got introduced to John Prine's music back in the 70's.
Occasionally we will perform "Illegal Smile"
Good stuff, thanks for posting.

Jambi, thanks. You know, JP doesn't invite too many writers on stage with him. Kacey immediately drew my interest after I saw this vid.

Here's one of Kacey's best, "Follow Your Arrow." Like John's songs, both funny and touching. Please listen! It's important we support these new writers. And share with friends.

Enjoy!
