Default DPA Mic comparison video with a Kostal Guitar - Sound Network London

Hello everyone,

Back when that sort of thing was actively encouraged I was invited to Sound Network HQ London to film a comparison video of the DPA microphone range. DPA is a super-high end microphone company that sprung from the ashes of Brüel & Kjær back in the 1990s. Their mics have a reputation for astonishing detail and performance and I've been lucky to use and own several examples in the past.

We went through several examples of the range - I'm playing my Kostal Modified Dreadnought in The Tree and German Spruce.

All the best

Michael

Thanks Michael for posting this comparison of DPA microphones.

I'm assuming you recorded a track for each mic for the entirety of the song. If so, it would be really nice to be able to download all the tracks which would allow the listener to switch back and forth between the tracks to compare mics at any point throughout the song.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for watching!

Actually I had nothing to do with the editing process but I believe there are also plans to release this as a Klang video where you can mix it yourself.

All the best

Michael
