I'm fond of mine. It has some quirks and sounds best to me using the XLR out. The thing that I would improve upon in a future design is phantom powering the receive unit. Otherwise, I think the tone is good and clear. It's very convenient. And, if your mixer includes and USB charging port, it is super convenient.

Ive been using one with an Ovation Celebrity Standard Plus plugged into a Helix LT. I power it with a Winplus car jump start battery purchased at Costco. The battery has a 5 volt 1.0 amp USB output. Works great, sounds good, no dropouts or disconnects yet while playing.

How do you map it to your Helix? I have a helix floor and will be using it for that. Does it just go 1/4 our into the guitar input and then i can swap the unit between my acoustic and electric?

Based on advice I received on the Line 6 forum I connect the G10 output to send return 1 on the Helix LT. They say the preferred input on the Helix floor for acoustic guitars is the aux in, not the guitar input. The LT has no aux in so the send return in is preferred to the guitar in. I'm not sure why, probably something to do with input impedance.

I haven't tried swapping acoustic with electrics but don't see why it wouldn't work.

I’d like you to expand your horizons. I’ve been using the Line6 G30 and G50 units interchangeably. OK the G30 is about $200 new or $125 used but it’s a far more versatile system and very reliable.

Those units are more reliable for road use, for sure. But, they require the belt pack. For simple home/light use the G10 is attractive because of the small rechargeable transmitter.

You put the transmitter in a pouch that attaches to your guitar strap not your belt.

Yes, that’s what meant.

I read numerous complaints about the battery door on the G30 breaking. Seems to be the one very cheap part of the design. That's the only thing I dislike about Line 6 products, even the G10 has a terrible design for charging.

Does anyone use this system with a acoustic guitar with a after market pickup like LR baggs?

Love my G10 - use it almost exclusively with acoustics with various pickups, seeing as I only have 1 electric. But it works with that one too!
