Default Cool Accessory

I have to let everyone know about a cool item I stumbled upon.
"The Stringer Stand" I have been looking for something to help when I restring and clean my guitars. I have been using throw pillows from my couch to support the neck but they have been a PITA. The guitar slides all over the place and it is near impossible to do anything to the guitar.

I looked on Amazon and found this:
https://www.amazon.com/Stringer-Stan...70_&dpSrc=srch

Man this thing holds he guitar in place. Wished I looked 5 years ago. Best $15 I have spent in a long time!

Disclaimer...No affiliation to this company, I am just a satisfied customer.

I never understood the need. I just set my guitar on my area carpet and change the strings with no problem. Nothing slides.

I like the neck support. The one in the OP is cool. I got one of these last year and it really works great.

For many years I did without, and I find it much easier with the rest. I have one that comes with a pad: makes it easy to change strings on the kitchen table.

The one mentioned by the OP is down to 10 bucks and 2 day free shipping with Amazon Prime. I'm weak, and the pillow method doesn't seem all that stable. I'll let my wife give it to me on Valentines Day!

I received one of these free with a Hercules guitar stand. It works fine, but I personally don’t use it or any similar devices

Me too. And it's adjustable for various instrument types.

I use this one and have for 3 years now. It has a flat side as well as the grooved side, a very handy tool. It was given to me by a guitar tech because he was buying a new one.

I got one of those for Christmas. It works great. I also use a folding ironing board as my string changing bench. It's padded and the perfect height.

Being a woman who has done a lot of ironing, be very careful, because they are quite unstable. Friendly advice....I'd hate to see it tip over with a guitar on top.

Plenty of variants on this. My rolled up towel works pretty well also.
