Bose S1 battery questions
Those of you using the S1 with the battery..
How long can you play on battery? What is the charge time for the batteries? Have you found it is necessary to buy a second battery to have available, or do you feel just one battery is sufficient? Thanks |

The S1’s batteries are user replaceable, but they aren’t meant to be swapped out during a gig. There should be about six hours on a charge and that should be plenty for any music gig though.

Thanks
Do you have any idea how long it takes to recharge? |

Several hours based on my initial charge. It’s like a laptop battery. It has the smarts for charging and discharging inside.

6 hours at 103db, full volume. More at lower volumes. Ric

Keep in mind that you get a full 3 bars on the S1 Pro metering at a 75% charge, and that charging slows down as the battery gets full. It’s not a bad idea to let the S1 just charge overnight the night before a gig.

I think in the first thread on the S1 that got closed after 300 posts that someone said they tested the battery & got 8:15 out of it. At least that's what I remember. You may want to do a search in that one thread to check.
