I own an MMV with a K&K style pickup. No regrets. $950 sounds right. Get it and enjoy it.

We've got one. First all solid dread that started the love affair. Don't think you could go wrong with one.

Communication with the owner didn't go well, so I will not be getting that MMV. However, there is a DRS2 I will be looking at tomorrow morning. This one says it is in great condition.

well that's a different guitar. Different back and side woods (mahogany vs rosewood) and it has a built-in pickup. I think there are differences, too, in the construction but others can speak about that.

I played the newer version of it and I wasn't very impressed. But then again I've never played an MMV so I have nothing to compare it with.

But again, two Martins but two different guitars.

That's actually another great, below the radar, choice.

Heard that from a friend. I actually went to Guitar Center and tried an DRS1 and a DRS2. Both felt good but I liked the sound of the DRS2 a bit better.

Learning a lot from all the great comments by experienced people on this forum. Really appreciate all the comments.

Thanks,

Picked up the Martin DRS2 today for $620. Got the neck adjusted and new D'Addario XT Light strings. The guitar is in great condition, plays nice, and really sounds good. Very happy with the purchase.

The guy who sold it said he purchased this guitar last year to do some recording and finished that project. He has too many guitars and just wanted this one to go to a good home. Super nice guy.
