Does anyone recognize this headstock?

I'm trying to identify the guitar for a friend. He believes it to from the 40s/50s. I don't recognize it at all. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Can I insert a tiny grumble here?

It would be so much easier to help with enquiries of this type if the photo(s) were actually in focus. It’s really not that hard to do, and makes them so much more informative.

I also find that Imgur makes pics blurrier for some reason and I'm not sure how to fix that
