Apart from the battery power and half a wireless system, isn't it just a Fishman Aura Blend with a built in speaker?

Default New Yamaha THR30IIA

The THR30ii is only missing the “nylon” model, which is ok with me because I don’t currently play any nylon string guitars. I don’t see it adding anything to the acoustic guitar sound I already get with the regular THR30ii (which has what look like they are the same dynamic, condenser, tube, and flat models).

All that’s missing is the nylon model, an extra level of stereo spread, and the mic channel. I wonder if the mic records to a separate DAW channel over USB or if can only be mixed in with the guitar?

I use a mic blend pickup instead of mic modeling, so I mostly use the “flat” preset on my acoustic guitar. On my archtop I use the “clean” or “crunch”.

The mic channel is interesting. I’m so curious: does it have separate EQ and FX settings? Does it have a high pass filter (which you kind of need but is missing on most acoustic amps)?

It looks like it has just stereo line outs. Can you separate the mic and guitar by panning them hard left and right?

Used the previous product in this series and hated it. Was extremely unpowered and didn't sound good as well.

I didn’t have much luck with the Line 6 wireless system and it doesn’t work in active guitars so that is a little confusing since it’s aimed at acoustic players. I can’t imagine wanting to plug into it to sing either being that it’s so small. I’m not sure who it’s aimed at.

Obviously little Asian female singer with tiny voices unlike you tall Aaron. Don’t underestimate aspiring Folky K-pop girl market.

Lol

Note that THR means “Third” amp. It is not meant to go outside your living room except on vacation...

What is the issue you are seeing with active guitars? I have used it successfully with multiple of my active pickups. For several I need to use the supplied 90 degree 1/4" to 1/4" in addition to the transmitter for it to keep the actives properly powered. No big deal once I figure that out.

Yes it does. Only with some pickup systems that have a mic there are issues.
I use it all the times with fishman and with lr baggs anthem ( with mic blend set to 0 ).

Interesting, I remember at NAMM they had to use an adapter tome it work with the Atmosfeel.
