Top: Adirondack Spruce
Fretboard, Bridge, Head Cap, Arm Bevel, Binding, Back Strip: Macassar Ebony

Florentine Cutaway

More details to come.

Startup pics:

Top and Back Profiles with Sides:

Koa Back/Side Grain (Naptha Wipe):

ADI Top Grain:

Macassar Ebony Fretboard Rough:

More to come soon!

That fretboard is awesome. I enjoy looking at his guitars they are very striking. What scale length will that be? What will the second guitar be? Just to own one would be great, but you will have 3!

I literally gasped when I got the pic of the fretboard. That same piece will be used for the headstock cap and arm bevel too.

Scale length will be 25.4.
14 frets to the body.

Second guitar will be Coco/ADI. We may do a baritone. I am still thinking it over. It is a year away yet - so we have some time on that one.

Gorgeous woods - all of them.

This should be one beautiful guitar.

Laird, you're hooked! Go for the baritone . Love the fretboard..reminds me of my Stehr 00-12 Sinker/Mac Eb "Hula Girl" Series #3. Has the Mac Eb for the appointments just like yours will...Aloha, Hen

That's a great looking peghead veneer. It will be an eye-catcher.

Laird,
Off to the races! I remember when Joel hit this point with my guitar. He just kept going and going. Every couple of days it seemed, was a new batch of pictures. This is getting very exciting. I'm happy for you. It gets the juices flowing to start my next build with Joel(in a year and a half ). Keep those pictures coming, I'm always interested in one of Joel's builds. And as an extra added bonus, his guitars sound fantastic!
