Koa treble side. Wow, I've never seen that; I wonder how it works technically in the sound....

Is there a tonal reason for making just the treble side koa? J also have never heard of this type of construction choice.

Burton does some astounding work. And when I talk to luthiers and mention his name, they are equally impressed. Enjoy your new baby!

Sweet instrument! The stunning koa staring up at you while playing is a nice touch; I thought that side was the bass (not treble) side?

Thank you. Haha, your right my bad it’s the bass side staring up at me [emoji4] and I’ve corrected the OP. Last edited by Rwpierce; 05-11-2021 at 01:36 PM. |

Too cool! I get it - why waste a nice piece of Koa on the bass side and back when you can't see them when playing? That is a stunning guitar.

I am in love with Burton's vintage yet modern esthetic. I passed by his table at Santa Barbara, and I still kick myself for not trying one of his creations.
Congratulations, you have a stunner! |

Fantastic! Did you get it yet?
I don't think I've ever seen different wood used for the bass / treble sides of the guitar. I like it. |
