Years ago there was an ongoing thread called the ABC. Each person that would post had to begin the next one with the next letter of the alphabet. I racked up so many completely unnecessary post numbers but ... we had fun. I gained great respect of late night brothers and sisters posting wacky fun comments in the AGF open mic area. We quickly learned threads are to be no more than 300 posts long. We got nuts and didn't watch our count pretty often. After while the ABC threads were numbered and fizzled out. Though we never said anything important it was something I got addicted to. It gave us friends who still keep an eye on each other for health and family. Fact is, Tim and I still have contact with one AGF member named Coldshot who lives in Australia and has managed to be in touch with us by phone to "attend" our annual McJam.

Your milestone is admired. Glad you celebrated here as I remembered my own.

It’s fun to notice how some post often, some don’t.

Just recently I saw a post from a member who’s been around over 10 years,
and has about a dozen posts.
Then I saw a member who had posted more than that in one day.

There are some who have posted 20 to 30,000 times over the years,
while others chimed in under 100 times throughout a similar time period.

Whatever melts your butter.

1000 posts is good!

I'm glad you're here and enjoying the AGF. You can get an awful lot out of this place just by reading and absorbing information. If you have stuff to share, that's good, too.

I remember when I first came to the AGF, I thought, "Oh cool! A place where people talk guitars! I'm going to learn stuff here!"

It never occurred to me that most of my posts would be congratulating people who just got a new guitar!

Just think about this
* more than half of the members have never posted
* you have more posts than 99% of the members
* you have a 1000 more posts than me

Still envy?

Hey,
Someone ordered a McKnight guitar we few weeks ago. They are not members of the AGF, but if they become new members I will try to tell you so you can rack up more post numbers!

(In a used car commercial kind of voice) "What a deal!"
